Synopsis

The hamlet of Chantejail is located in the heart of the Auvergne. In Patois, or local dialect "chantejail" means the crowing of the cockerel. This is where the Boyer family lives: Gerard, Nicole and their sons Nicolas and Ludovic. The Boyers have the distinction of being completely devoted to wild boar, animals and game. Indeed, Gérard Boyer manages a wild boar breeding park which was created ten years ago. He also hunts wild boar which is abundant in this part of the countryside. This film takes us to the countryside to meet some of the local men and a family passionate about hunting. During these several days spent at Chantejail in the hunting season the cockerel doesn’t have time to stop crowing.
