Synopsis
Marli, a woman living in Pernambuco has encountered deep dilemmas in her personal life and tries to help others to rebuild themselves. In the prisons of Recife, she works so that fathers recognize their children. In Brazil, many children remain with the status of "unknown father". This recognition of paternity helps children to build themselves. By transcending her loneliness and her suffering through helping others, she shows us that love can be redemptive and that lack of hope is the most intolerable evil for human beings.
