Synopsis
Maurice Patry was one of those adventurers who push themselves to the limit to follow their dreams. In 1951, he performed his first feat by crossing Africa in a kayak, a distance of nearly 9000 km. He then moved to Gabon and organized safaris unlike any that had been done before. With Patry, there was a lot of tracking but very little shooting. Maurice’s final quest was his craziest. To find an animal that had disappeared for nearly 100 years, a ‘pig deer’ known as the babirusa. Maurice Patry, a fervent adventurer and explorer, died in Paris in 1998, at the age of 74. He leaves behind him a book as well as numerous photos and interviews brought back to life in vivid detail by this film.
