Synopsis
Sabine Weiss was a humanist photographer. As a freelancer, she worked alongside Robert Doisneau for the Rapho agency. She stands out as one of the few Swiss women photographers who managed to sustain herself through her work and art in the 1950s. Her photography persists through time, adapting to technological advancements. There is no trace of nostalgia in her work; instead, she remained a steadfast witness of her time, spanning over 60 years. This film follows a chronological trajectory, showcasing the evolution of her artistry amidst the shifting landscapes of glossy paper, glitter, and the "poetic of commitment," reflecting Paris's journey from post-war to contemporary times."
