In 2022 in Côte d'Ivoire, performing an abortion is still punishable by five years' imprisonment and a considerable fine. As a result, many young women are forced to have an abortion through clandestine networks, despite the risks to their health.
From the village of Soubré in the east of the country to Abidjan, young women talk about their experiences, the pressures they face and their loneliness. While others try to take an open stand for a change in morals and legislation.
